Two More Towns In Java Retaken As Indonesian Republicans Advance

Batavia, September 26. ·

Republican Indonesian forces, advancing on the Communist stronghold of Madiun, Eastern Java, today recaptured the towns of Magotan and Ngrambo, the Republican Radio at Jog- jakarta reported tonight.

This brought the total of towns reported to have been recaptured to eight in the eight-day old Communist insurrection, The Communists still hold five towns.
