National Assembly To Meet Soon

Four months after China's first democratic elec- tions held last November, the Government announces this morning that 1,623 out of a total of 3,045 candidates have been duly elect- ed and entitled to take their seats in the National Assembly.

The Government expects the National Assembly to meet from March 29 to April 19 to elect the President and Vice-Presi- dent of the Chinese Republic.
