He said the Ministry held to the idea that free trading would be welcome but it could not be indulged in with present cur- rency restrictions all over the world.

With regard to tin partico- larly, he said, a free market would be almost impossible to operate because Britain and the colonies are

committed to the allocations scheme handled by the International Tin Committee In Washington.
