In order to insure cheap supply of electrical power to Chinese indus- trial and mining enter- prises, the National Re sources Commission has drafted a plan to utilise Japanese power general- ing equipment for the larger cities.
The Commission also plans to develop minor hydro-electric projects throughout the country.
The Chinese Government has re- quested SCAP headquarters for elre trical equipment with a capacity of 260,000 kilowatts as part of Japancie reparations.
The Commission disclosed that most of the Japanese electrical equip ment was in disrepair but hope some uscahie
equipment can be secured. The Commission Is planning to develop smaller hystro-electric pro- 1fects in such places Wonhsies (Szechwan), Tangher (Sinkang),
