London, Dec. 14. Rebellion has broken out within the ranks of the Parliamentary Labour Party against giving Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip annual allowances. totalling £50,000 from Government funds.
The grants, £40,000 for the Princess and £10,000 for her husband, were proposed by an all- Party select committee of the Commons. The recommendations will be debated on Wednes- day in the House. Five Socialists, members the select committee, including Maurice Webb, chairman of the Parliamentary Labour Party, voted to cut each of the propos- ed allowances by £5,000.
