OPENING SAILING REGATTA OF 1947/48 SEASON Record Number Of Entries Received
Next weekend, Friday, Oct. 3, to Sunday, Oct. 5, Is the opening Sailing Regatta of the 1947/48 season in Hong Kong and a bumper number of entries have already been received for all races there will be nearly 40 starters in each of the three dinghy races alone. A full detailed programme of all the events and the "boat routine" for the weekend will be published on Thursday, Oct. 2. As mentioned before, there will be a presentation of trophies and prizes at Kellet Island at the end of the Regatta on Sunday about 7.30 p.m. followed by a Buffet Supper and Flannel-Dance to Hawaiian Band.
