Leon Blum, with the British Prime Minister, Mr. Attlee, and the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Bevin, announces that it was agreed that a treaty of alliance should be con- cluded at the earliest possible moment with the object of preventing any further aggres- sion by Germany and of preserving peace, and security.
