A CAMPAIGN is now in progress to inform the Soviet people how to deal with gas and other chemi- cal warfare. As in Britain in the early days of the war, many decontamination squads are holding tests.

The driver had been detalled with his truck to bring beer and other "atuff to the dance and take the remains back to the sergeante mess.

Accused was seen by. Lance Corporal. J. Thomas, of the camp police. He was told that all civi¬ lians were forbidden to remain in the camp after a quarter of an hour of the dance finishing..

Later, it was stated, Thomas was rushed out of the hut after he had seen several women sitting by the fire, taken under open arrest to the guardroom and accused of being drunk by Williams, who diá not press the charge when the re- gimental sergeant-major and the medical officer could not be found. Thomas, declaring he had only had tea to drink on that day, said he was on a midnight patrol of the comp

Accused declared that when some women 'guests were strand- ed they were waiting for a tax! when the incident happened. Thomas was, arrested, because he was insulting, improperly dress- ed, in a drunken state, and had entered the sergeants mess with- out removing his cap or "armlet | badgereed

The hearing was adjourned.
