"WE TURKS WILL NEVER GO TO VIENNA," IS THE STATEMENT HEARD ON ALL HANDS IN ANKARA FOLLOWING THE SIGNATURE OF THE GERMAN-T U R K ISH PACT, AND TURKS ARE ANXIOUS THAT IT SHOULD BE MADE CLEAR THAT TURKEY REMAINS A FRIEND ALSO OF BRITAIN.
In view of the present geographical and military situation, with German troops near her frontier, the new agreement has obvious advantages for Turkey.
