RICE PETITION TO GOVERNMENT ADVOCATED

At a meeting yes- terday of the Hong Kong Chinese Gener- al Chamber of Com- merce, it was decided to approach the Chin ese Representatives on the Legislative Council, to petition Government to re- lease some of the stocks of rice, "stored" under Gov- ernment regulations, for sale in the open market.
