Several Sixes Scored During Afternoon

FURTHER PROGRESS was made in the Annual Volunteer Inter-Unit Bowls Competition for "The China Mail" Challenge Cup when seven games were played yesterday.

In contrast to last week's games, several of the matches were close affairs and the later stages of the competition should provide some interesting bowls.

Spary's Fine Spurt.

Scoring at only six heads, which included a five at the Afth and a three at the third, Stanley Platoon "B" were beaten by Field Ambulance "A" by 23 shots to 12. Stanley started off well and at the fifth end were leading by 9 shots to 3, but they did not score.į
