WOMEN
RE-STATED
AT THE END of June instructions were received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies to the cffect that certain classes of women and children were to be evacuated from the Colony, says an offi- cial communique issued last night.
The implementation of those instructions is at present proceeding, and, in order to remove any mis- conceptions as to the present position and Govern- ment's policy with regard to evacuation, the follow- ing statement has been drawn up for general in- formation.
