a big programme in front of him in the next three days. To- day he will take part in the annual -open harbour

FRENCH AND DENYER BOWL WELL

In a friendly cricket match at Soo- kunpoo on Wednesday the Royal En- gincers beat the Royal Army Service Corps by runs,

Highlights of the game were the fine bowling performances by French for the Service Corps and George Denyer, the Army all-rounder, for the Sappers. Spr. Tropp, who top-scored for the Sappers, hit five boundaries in his 27, while Young, for the losers, found the ropes as many times during his stay at the wicket.

With 7 wickets down for 102, it look- ed as though the Service Corps would have no difficulty in getting the seven runs required for victory but the re- maining wickets fell without further addition, thanks principally to Denyer's accurate bowling.
