"Men From Fascist H.Q. Had Army Dress In Parcel"

POLICE ALLEGATION

AFTER ARRESTS

· London, May 26. DETECTIVES WATCHING the imperial fascist league headquarters in Crogsland-road, Chalk Farm, N.W., saw two men leave, carrying a brown-paper parcel. They stopped the men and demanded to see the contents of the parcel.

The result was that yesterday, at Clerkenwell, Anthony William Gittens, aged 34, food chemist, of Haverstock-hill, N.W., and George Reginald Yates, aged 29, clerk, Lawford- road, N.W., were charged with having in their possession a kitbag containing an Army greatcoat and cap, battledress, web belt, and other items of military uniform.

LADY HUNS FALL OUT

Frau Brauchitsch, wife of the Nazi C.-in-C., has been causing trouble in Berlin lately.

Detective-Sergt. Hutton said that when he asked Yates what was in the parcel the man replied: "Nothing of interest to you."!

"I want to see what is in it," said the detective, Yates said:

"All right," Gittens said: "Don't be a fool."

Yates laid the parcel on the pave ment, then, said the officer, tried to

Clarence Campion, who was Chief of the Criminal Record Office at Scotland Yard, has been killed by a machine gun bullet at a French coastal town while serving as a major. in the Royal Corps of Military Police. Three months ago he was appointed major in charge of 50 Metropolitan Police detectives engaged to prevent "scrounging" at B.EF. base camps.
