London, To-day. There has been no recent change of importance in the general situation in China, declared the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mr. R. A. Butler, in the House of Commons yesterday in reply to a question.

He added that some fighting, in which both sides claimed success, had taken place in central China.-Reuter.
