GRAVE RIOTING IN RANGOON
Rangoon, To-day.
Eleven were killed and 60 in- jured yesterday in a serious out- break of communal disturbances.
The trouble began on the eve of célebrations in honour of The Prophet's birthday.
Troops and police were called out to restore order after six people had been stabbed to death.
Yesterday, the police fired on a mob of Hindus and Moslems in the street, One person died as a result of a gunshot wound?

The "Oslo Administrative Commit- tee" has now issued instructions for- bidding the wastage of used oils from cars and motorcycles and all engines. Used oil will be subjected to a reßning process.
Nobody is Oslo is allowed to with- draw more than four hundred kroners monthly from his bank account. The kroner is about the equivalent of the Hong Kong dollar.

Rome, To-day. ADMITTING FOR THE first time the landing of French forces in Norway, Italian military cor- respondents in Scandinavia, are now freely fore- casting that the war in the North "will be long and difficult.'
According to these correspondents, the Allies have landed at three places, in addition to Narvik, namely, Namsos, Molde (south of Christian- sand) which threatens Trondheim from the south, and was presumably the starting off point for the force which was sent by rail to southern Norway, and Laerdal, deep in the Sogne Fiord, and menacing the Oslo-Bergen Railway.
The Allied forces in Namsos alone, are estimated by the Italian corres- pondents at two British divisions and one French,
The French division is composed of crack Chasseurs Alpins regiments. The correspondents who note the danger to the German forces isolated at Trondheim, prédict that In addition to the threat from Namsos and Molde, Colonel Weiss is anticipating a further Allied landing - at - Orkedal, 36 kilo- metres south of Trondheim.
