After his rescue from the water, Chan Fuk-sang, 23, who tried to com- mit suicide yesterday, told the police that he had been robbed of $51 and pushed into the water by the robbers at Holt's Wharf.

A motor-car accident, involving a Russian, a Chinese, and a 10- year-old lad, occurred near the nine-mile stone on Taipo Road at 10 a.m. to-day.
The car, driven by its owner, Mr. E. A. Tsenin, of No. 11, Han- kow Road, overturned completely on the road when Mr. Tsenin ap- plied the brakes to avoid hitting the Chinese lad who suddenly darted across the road.
Mr. Tsenin and a Chinese, pas- senger were later conveyed to the Kowloon Hospital. Both were suf- fering from head injuries, They were, however, not detained,
