(By “ADREM”)

There will be no Ladies' League hockey this after- noon, activity being confined to the annual seven-a-side, tournaments for the Pearce and Knill Cups.

St. Andrew's Ladies are the present holders of the senior trophy and have a very good chance of retaining it. Principal challengers will be "Y" La- dies, although their team is not formidable as last season.

D.G.S. and C.B.A. should be the as strongest challengers for the trophy. Hong Kong Ladies, holders, will be unable to compete as they have not a team in the Brawn Cup competition this season.

It is noteworthy that several of their most seasoned players, including Mrs. Burnett, the captain, will be un- able to take part as she has not in- cluded herself in the senior team and, being a Caer Clark Cup player, is in- eligible to play for the junior.

onc.

Play was fairly even throughout the converting of a long game but the corner by Capt. Loch in the first half gave Kumaons a lead which they held until the final whistle.

Loch's shot whistled into the net like a bullet for one of the finest goals seen for some time.
