SCRAPPY WOMEN'S
MATCH
At King's Park yesterday afternoon, Cen- tral British School defeated Central British Association Ladies in a friendly hockey match by the only goal scored by Miss Jill Stokes in the last minute.
The game was very scrappy and was without any interest an there was little team work.
Miss Parsons and Miss Everest were pro- minent in defence for the losers, while Mrs. Quick and Miss Whitley were the only outstanding players in the forward line.
For the winners, Miss Goodwin, right back, Miss Moss, centre-forward, both from first team, and Miss Jill Stokes, Inside right, did well.
Miss M. Shand, schoolgirls' captain, play- losersed in the inside left position for C.B.A, who
were two short.

ANSWER: Your correct bid is one spade. With two good five-card major suits you should open the bidding even though your hand is but a Jack above average.
:
Score 100% for one spade, 60% for pass, 0 for any other bid.
