(SPECIAL TO "CHINA MAIL”)

Moscow, To-day.

A SOLUTION OF THE Soviet-Finnish problem is deemed to have been practically found follow- ing a one-hour conference between Stalin, Molo- tov, M. Passakivi and M. Tanner last night.

It is understood that Finland is permitting the Red Navy to establish bases at the north entrance to the Gulf of Finland, thus accepting Russia's most important demand.

Finland is believed also to be hand- ing over to Russia the islands of Seisakara, Lavansart and Tytarsari, against Soviet territory in Karelia.

Ong of these Gestapo men

He was found lecturing his fellow prisoners a few days agaj.but since he was given strict instructions that this practice must stop, he has ceased his activities.

Stories that one of the men has been seen with two black eyes result of being beaten up by incensed prisoners who found his Gestapo secret, and that
