POLISH MINISTER CONFERS WITH MR. CHAMBERLAIN

London, To-day.

THE NEW, POLISH Foreign Minister, who arrived in London from Paris yesterday morning, had a long talk with the Foreign Secretary, Lord Hali- fax, at the Foreign Office yesterday afternoon. Later he conferred with Mr. Neville Chamberlain at 10, Downing Street, and at night was the guest at a banquet given by the Polish Ambassador. Another guest was Sir Howard Kennard, who is to take up his duties as Ambassador to Poland in a few days, at the seat of Polish Government in Paris.

He represents an indestructible race. whose country has been barbarously devastated, not for the first time in its history, but which unhesitatingly chooses a new government in place of the old.

M. Zaleski reached London by air from Paris. Among those who met him at the aerodrome were the Polish Ambassador, Count Raczynski, and John Simon, Lord MacMillan, Major Mr. Oliver Harvey, representing Lord Attlee, Sir Archibald Sinclair, Sir Halifax.
