MIDDLESEX CREEPING UP ON YORKSHIRE
Tykes Drop Points Whereas M'sex Win Outright
C.B. Clarke Bowls Splendidly
London, To-day.---Middlesex are rapidly overhauling Yorkshire in the race for the County Championship. Latest results to come to hand reveal that Yorkshire dropped eight points owing to their inability to force an outright win against Surrey, whilst Mid- dlesex made no mistake against Notts, winning by 10 wickets.
The respective standings of the two leading counties in the championship table are:-

BIG MATCH POSTPONED
Match between I.R.C. and South China in “A” Division of the Lawn Tennis League fixed for to-day has been postponed owing to the inability of LR.C. to raise a team.
According to present arrange- ments, an effort will be made to get the fixture disposed of next Wednesday.
