NAZI REPRISALS
Six Britons Ordered To Leave Germany
Further Steps By Britain Will
Have Same Result
Berlin, To-day.
Six British subjects resident in Germany have re- ceived orders from the Nazi Government to leave.
The expulsions are direct reprisals for the expul-
sion of six Germans from Great Britain. The British Embassy has been informed that all the
expelled Britons must leave by May 24.
Those expelled áre:
MR. H. C. GREENE, CHIEF CORRESPONDENT OF THE LON-
DON "DAILY TELEGRAPH,"
A BUSINESSMAN, AN ENGINEER, A TEACHER AND TWO DIR-
ECTORS OF COMPANIES.
IT IS MADE CLEAR THAT FURTHER “UNJUSTIFIABLE” EX- PULSIONS BY BRITAIN WOULD BE FOLLOWED BY FUR- THER GERMAN
REPRISALS.
Government circles told the British Embassy that the expul-j sion of Mr. Greene implied no im-] putation against his work as a correspondent, or against the po- licy of his newspaper, but was purely a reprisal for the expul- sion of the London correspondent of the "National Zeitung." Reuter.

ALLEGED PLANS FOR ATTACK ON EGYPT
Rome, To-day, Alarming reports of alleged Italian plans for an attack upon Egypt are nothing, says "Giornale d'Italia" but an attempt to further the policy of encirclement by get- ting Egypt in the net along with those European countries which have been driven to oppose the Axis powers.
These tactics, adds the Italian commentator, betray the intentions. of their authors but are doomed to failure.
