CANADIAN TRAINING FOR R.A.F. PILOTS

London, To-day.

Sir Kingsley Wood, the Air Minister, in a written Commons reply, said an agreement had been reached with His Majesty's Government in Canada on a scheme under which Royal Air Force pilots would be sent to Canada for intermediate and ad- vanced flying training under the auspices of the Canadian Depart- ment of National Defence.

Duration of scheme would be three years, and the number of pilots to be trained would not ex- ceed 50 in any one year. Costs of training would be borne by the United Kingdom Government.

Existing arrangements for the entry of Canadian candidates for commissions in the Royal Air Force would continue, *
