Exceptional measures of taxation, aggregating 17,000,000,000 francs, were before the Council of Ministers last evening. The Council sat for two and a half hours.

One measure limits the profits of firms working for national defence, while another prescribes an increase in working hours of all departments and factories engaged in defence material.
