Rest Share Spoils With South China

Charity Soccer Game

A keen: soccer game was witnessed, at Caroline Hill yesterday when South China shared two goals with a Rest of the Colony team in a charity game, in ald of the British Fund for the Rellef of Distress in China.

In spite of several players playing in unusual positions the Rest team gave a good display, Beltrao at centre half played a better game than he did in the Interport and kept Lee Wai-tong well marked while Hau King-seng, at left half, was the pick of the defen- ders with his fast tackling and quick clearances.

Courtney and Rides, the inside-men, were also good, while Emberson, the right-wing, was the outstanding player in the Rest attack,

Cheung Wing-choi, gave another ex- cellent performance in goal, while Mak Shul hon, until his injury in the second- half, was in great form.

Lau Tau-man, after an absence from football, played a sound game on the left wing and was very dangerous when in possession, Fung King- cheong, and. Lai. Shul-wing were:forced to played their own. game as Lee Wai- tong was too well watched by Beltrao.

The Chinese scored first in the se- cond half through Lee Wai-tong, while the rest were appealing for off side, but Courtney equalised.
