Accomodation Problem In Shanghai

H.K.L.H.A TO HOLD MEETING

(By "STICKS")

WORD HAS BEEN RECEIVED FROM THE HON. SECRETARY OF THE SHANGHAI LADIES' HOCKEY ASSOCIATION TO THE EFFECT THAT THEY ARE EXPECTING A TEAM FROM THE HONG KONG LADIES' HOCKEY ASSOCIATION TO VISIT SHANGHAI DURING THE EASTER HOLIDAYS!

the

The letter which Mrs. Webb, local Hon. Secretary, received from Shanghai, was very vague and did not explain fully the position in the North, although they pointed out that they were experiencing difficulty at the mo- | ment with the accommodation of Hong Kong's players, should a team travel North.

They were certain, however, of get- ting over this difficulty in the very near future.

amount to meet their immediate needs, but it appears that the main financial burden will probably fall on the shoul- ders of the visiting players, who will probably be expected to pay for their own fares, both ways.

Hong Kong Ladies' Hockey Associa- tion's funds are in a very healthy way at the moment and there is a possibi- lity that the Association may help to wards passage expenses.

I believe a meeting of the Council of the H.K.L.H.A. will be convened for the very near future to discuss pros- pects of sending a team to Shanghai, but in the meantime it is hoped that news of a more definite kind will be received from the Shanghai Ladies' Hockey Association.
