FRANCO CLAIMS FURTHER SUCCESSES
Salamanca, To-day.
Further successes on the northern sector of the Catalan front, leading ·
to the capture of Concabella la Dorena, Sedo Ostafran and Ribo, are mentioned in an extra war communique.
Encirclement of Igualada has made further progress as a result of a considerable advance to the east and the capture of the villages of Penarosa, Castelnou Monfalco, Pestana and Olujas.
In the coast region, the southern wing occupied five villages, includ- ing Murcia and Torredemberra.
A session of the National Spanish. Cabinet was held not as usual in Burgos but somewhere behind the . the front in Catalonia, owing to fact that General Franco is person- ally conducting operations.
Great importance is attached to the successes on the northern sec- tor.
