(By AIR MAIL) Germany has erected a memorial stone on the spot where Jimmy Guthrie, the Scottish motor cyclist, crashed and received fatal injuries during the German motor cycling Grand Prix of 1987..

This gesture will be appreciated in Scotland in general, and in Ha- wick, "Guthrie's home town, in particular, where another 'memo- rial to the famous T.T. rider was recently erected. Guthrie, over a period of years, was practically unbeatable in T.T. races in the Isle of Man and on the Continent when connected with the Norton Com- pany.
