A very peculiar incident occurred at the Valley this morning in which a newly drawn subscription griffm, China pony No. 293 belonging to Mra. J. H. Taggart, was involved.

Mr. B. A. Proulx took this pony out for its exercise. After reach- ing the winning post It jumped clean over the rails. Mr. Proulx

was unseated, but he was able to walk back to the Paddock.
