NAZI LETTERS THREATEN BRITISH LEADERS
Some of the leading British politicians, Mr. Eden, Mr. Winston Churchill, Mr. Attlee, Mr. Arthur Greenwood, Mr. Duff Cooper and others placed publicly by Herr Hitler on his blacklist of statesmen whom he regards as "enemies" of Dictatorship, are being inundated by letters from Germans resident in England,
Many of these letters, threaten- ing in character, are from Nazi sympathisers, and their number has increased since the official German Press circulated the fan- tastic lie that Mr. Churchill was associated with the assassination, in Paris of a German official by a demented young Jew.
1
Others are from refugees who, knowing how widespread Nazi terror has become, are begging British Opposition leaders to ob- tain the fullest police protection.
As campaign adviser to the Tory Party, Sir Kingsley Wood is believed to have expressed the view. that these attacks are dam. aging to the Prime Minister's prestige.

GERMAN-POLISH
PROFESSION
OF FRIENDSHIP
Warsaw, Yesterday. The German-Polish friendship
was
stressed by the German Minister, Dr. Frank, and the Polish Minister of Justice, M. Grabowski, at a banquet given in honour of the Reich Minister.
Stating that co-operation in the field of juraiprudence is merely one phase of German-Polish re- lations, the Polish Minister de- clared; "This co-operation orginat- ed as the result of carefully con- sidered and straightforward initia- tive of Poland's first Marshal Pilsudski and of the Fuehrer, both of whom were activated by motives of the highest ideals of justice and peace.
"It may well be asserted that German-Polish understanding will stand the test of political difficul- ties of the present day."
Replying Dr. Frank emphasised the Polish contribution to modern culture, stating that his sojourn in Warsaw had given him an in- sight into the soul of a great na-
tion "that has enriched the world with indestructable treasures in the sphere of art, literature and
general culture."
Dr. Frank also praised the Polish Foreign Minister, Josef Beck, whose clear foresight, he de-
clared, had been a valuable factor in furthering German-Polish rela- tions.
