LANDSLIDE DISASTER
New York, To-day.
It is estimated that hundreds of people were buried in a mountain landslide on the island of St. Lucia, yesterday.
They were inhabitants of two hamlets which were overwhelmed by an avalanche eight miles long. Rescuers had hardly recovered the bodies of 45 dead and 60 injured victims of one landslide when another buried all the dead again as well as some of the injured and several rescuers.
OLDEST CHINESE CATHOLIC PRIEST PASSES
Fr. Paul Lu, the oldest Chinese Catholic Priest died last night at St. Francis' Hospital (Wanchai). at the age of 74.

The disaster occurred on the main road connecting the two sides of the island.
