The French Council of Ministers yesterday discuss- ed decrees which the Premier proposes to pass in connection with French defence and to place the economic position of the country on a sound foundation. Contents of the decrees have not yet been announc- ed, but all the Cabinet is agreed that all classes be asked to make sacrifices.
The possibility of a general elec- tion is being widely canvassed.
Should the Socialists support the Radical Socialists, the Government will have a majority, but if the Socialists join up with the Com- munists, then the Premier may dis- solve Parliament and appeal to the country.-Reuter.
