MUSSOLINI'S VOLUNTEER DECISION

Paris, To-day.

A report that Signor Mussolini with- has declared willingness to draw Italian volunteers not only from the Spanish front, but also from the entire country, is pro. minently featured in the press here.

It is stated that this decision was reached when the Italian. General Staff reported that Franco's victory now was merely a question of time, and that this time can be shorten-' ed if the Non-Intervention Com- mittee takes steps to cut off war supplies from being delivered to the Republicans.

The opinion prevails that Franco no longer needs Italian assistance as far as infantry is concerned, al- though he could not, at present, dis- pense with Italian fliers.

The papers state that the Italian willingness to make concessions is motivated by the desire to bring the Anglo-Italian Agreement into effect as soon as possible. Trans-Ocean:
