SIR MAURICE HANKEY'S SUCCESSOR

It is officially announced from No. 10, Downing Street, that the following arrangements will be effected upon the retirement of Sir Maurice Hankey on 31st July.

There will be a unified office un- der the title: "Offices of the Ca- binet, Committee of Imperial De- fence, Economic. Council and ‘Min- ister for Co-ordination of Defence” and the official head, who will at] the same time be a member of the Committee of Imperial Defence, will be styled the Permanent Se- cretary and Secretary of the Ca- binet.
