SOVIET DIRIGIBLE SMASH: QUEENS

CRASHES INTO TREES

Moscow, To-day.

The first eye-witness report on the destruction of the Soviet dirigible on the trial flight to Mur- mansk last week, was officially published yes- terday.

One of the surviving sub-commanders of the air- ship, reports that the airship entered dense fog and had to fly "blind."

The craft was flying at a speed) of 100 kilometres an hour

height of 300 to 400 metres but then ascended to 450 metres over, hilly country.
