King Carol received the president of the Liberal Party on Wednesday, and yesterday a number of other party leaders were summoned to special audience at the Palace.

Events at the audience are being kept a strict secret, but rumours yesterday afternoon asserted that the Left. Wing opposition were trying to bring about the fall of M. Goga and to replace him with a coalition group.

In the evening, a council of ministers was called, following which M. Goga visited the King. Shortly before seven o'clock it was announced officially that the Gov- ernment had handed in its resigna- tion.-Trans-Ocean.

Bucharest, To-day. Resignation of the Goga Cabinet was announced in special editions of all the papers.

The leader of the National Agrarian Party, M. Julius Maniu, declared following his audience with the King that a "new solution is being sought."

It is generally believed that a coalition government will be form- ed by the former Premier, M. Mironescu, who returned from Paris four days ago, and was im- mediately summoned to the Palace.
