RACE
MEETING
NORTHERN JOCKEYS MAY
BE RIDING
(By "RAPIER")
AN attractive programme of six events will be contested at the Areia Preta Race Course, Macao, to-morrow, when the Macao Race Club will stage their February Meeting, and this should serve as a fitting prelude to the Annual Race Meet- ing of the Hong Kong Jockey Club, to be held in the latter part of this month.

Fairly satisfactory entries have been received, and it is gratify-CHINA NEW ing to note that our lady riders are again catered for, the last race being reserved for them.
YEAR MEETING
At the time of writing these notes, the weather is brilliantly FOR KWANTI mild, and should this be maintained, I expect to see quite a large number of people from Hong Kong making the trip to Macao, es- pecially Chinese supporters of racing.
Furthermore, I anticipate that at least some of the Northern jockeys will be present, although they may not actively partici- pate, and their presence should lend additional interest to occasion. In the circumstances, therefore, we may confidently look forward to an afternoon of enjoyable racing.
