MANY CASUALTIES IN REMARKABLE SCENES GREETING M. DELBOS

Belgrade, To-day.

One person was killed and several wounded in demonstrations on the occasion of the arrival here yesterday of the French Foreign Minister, M. Yvon Delbos, who was met at the station by the Jugo- Slav Premier, M. Stoyadinovic, and other ministers.

M. Delbos was greeted with wild scenes of en- thusiasm, women students marching through the streets singing the "Marseillaise" and waving French flags.

Trouble began when a police cor- don outside the Foreign Office was broken and two shots were fired outside the Czecho-Slovakian Lega- tion.

POLICE ACTION Mounted police with drawn swords dispersed the processions and seized a number of flags.

Demonstrations also occurred out- side the Chamber of Deputies. Renter.
