IN view of the poor gates so far experienced, the unsettled conditions at present prevailing in Shanghai, the fact that none of the Chinese play- ers will be available and the uncertainty of the in- clusion of any Service players, it was decided at the monthly meeting of the Council of the Hong Kong Football Association last night not to send an In- terport team to Shanghai for the annual Interport contest next spring.
Applications were received from the Hong Kong Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation and the Eastern Athletic Association for charity game in aid of the Shanghai Relief Fund.
It was decided that a game be played for this cause on Christ- mas Day between an Association side and the Federation, and that the Chinese game against Scotland in the Sunday Herald Charity Cup Competition be played on Chinese New Year's Day.
