ATTACKS ON PREMIER

The resignation of the Van Zee- land Government, announced in an official.communique at 6 o'clock yesterday evening, has been ex- pected for some time and is the direct result of attacks on the Pre- mier for his alleged conduct of the affairs of the National Bank when he was its Vice-Govertor.
