PORTUGAL & CZECHO SLOVAKIA
Berlin, To-day.
Portugal's action in breaking off diplomatic relations with Czecho-Slovakia following the al leged cancellation of arms orders placed in Prague, has caused a sensation in Germany.
After pointing out that it is necessary for Portugal to increase. her armaments as long as the pre- at situation lasts in the Iberian Peninsula, the "Deutsche All- gemeine Zeitung" says there is a flaw in the argument put forward by the Czech Government for can- celling the contract for supply of arms to Portugal.
The Czech Government stated that it was unable to deliver arms to Portugal because of the requir ments of its own rearmament pro gramme, but the Czechs have been
to a number supplying arms countries.
