For the third successive Saturday, Miss Alice Marble had the mortifying experience of reaching the final of a Metro- politan torunament at Weybridge, and failing to carry it. She was defeated by Mlle. Jedrze- jowska, who, though less "en- dowed with winning strokes, and certainly less exuberant in their execution, had the moral stimul- ant of coming from behind to show the value of stamina and tenacity.
