Setzler Beaten In Four Games

London, April 12.

D. S. Milford, the English open and amateur champion, wan the world title on Saturday. In the second half of the contest at Queen's Club he beat Norbert Setzler, the American open and professional champion, by 15-4, 15-4, 15-9, 15-12.

Setzler won the first match in New York last January by four games to

three, so that Milford triumphed by seven games to four. It was a disappointing match for packed gallery on Saturday.

SETZLER'S POOR SERVICE Milford won the first two games very easily. He found a service al- most from the start. The few that Setzler returned had neither force nor direction and were easy vic- tims to Milford's well-controlled replies. Neither could Setzler find a really effective service, and the best commentary on their abilities -in this respect is that while Milford scored 32 aces by direct service Setzler made only tén.

Only twice did Milford attempt a drop and each time with success. For the rest, he played orthodox rackets and his astonishing speed enabled him to get to almost every- thing. By comparison, Setzler look ed slow.
