The fourth day of the Annual Race Meeting opened in sunny weather this morning, and by tif- fin time a fairly large crowd was in attendance.

The four races before tiffin were featured by Electron's record-shattering run in the Adelaide Stakes, when it beat Able Amazon by three lengths and clipped three-fifths of a second off Strathroy's 1936 record. It was well ridden by Mr. Norman Deitz, who judged his final effort to perfection.
