3r. Don Black, the champion jockey for 1936, had the misfor tune to be thrown from his moɑnt while riding Helenside's Heldo- rado, a new Australian súbscrip- tion griffin, this morning.
Mr. Black was taking out
this pony on the grass track, and when nearing the mile distance post he was suddenly unseated. The pay galloped towards the Golf Club! and was caught by the mafoo.
Suffering from no ill offects, Mr. Black remounted and com- pleted his gallop.
Athos, a new subscription grif- fin, belonging to Mr. F. C. Hall developed lameness during its
training gallop this morning and had to return to the stable.
