CAPT. RYCROFT'S SUGGESTION
(By "Rover")
ONE of the most important proposals ever
made before the Council of the Hong Kong Football Association was withdrawn lest Mon- day evening, because no one would get up and second it I refer to Captain. Rycroft's motion for promotion and relegation in all three divi- sions of the League.
A major sensation in Chinese Swimming circles has been caused by the exclusion of Kwok Chun-hang. China's champion breast-stroke swimmer, extreme right of group on bench, from the team to repre sent China in the aquatic events at the Berlin World Olympiad next. August. Jean Taris, France's world famous sprinter, is seen third from the right on the beach.

strong enough to enter that particular division.
Promotion and relegation is bound to come in time, and with
it brighter and better football. This will be inevitable when it
is realised that to avoid relegation to a lower division or to secure promotion to a higher division all teams must produce their very best at all times.
