According to the report of the Special Plebiscite Commissioner for the Saar. Signer Bindo Calli, exist this body has ceased to since March 31, 1936. The report states that it had been resolved to dissolve this committee in March, thanks to the satisfactory spirit of mutual understanding, which had greatly contributed to the smooth and punctual settle. ment of the business.

Since its reunion with Germany the Saar has experienced a mark- ed revival. The number of peo- 'ple employed rose from 21,000 in 1933 to 30,000, and the output of raw iron also increased from 1.7 to 21 million tons.-Trans-Ocear Service.

About 110 members of the City Livery Club, including the Lord Mayor of London, Sir George Broadbridge. who arrived here yesterday on his way to Baden- Baden, were given a reception in the Town Hall and welcomed behalf of the city by the Deputy Mayor, Herr Ebel; who referred to the close commercial ties which have existed between Cologne.and London since the the city of middle ages.
