COMPRISED mostly of nursery teams, the
Third Division of the Hong Kong Football League has provided followers of the game with some very exciting sport during the season under review, and one of the most gratifying features was the closeness of the struggle for supremacy, the result of which was in doubt until practically the last game had been played.
Three teams, the East Lancs., Fusiliers and Chinese Police played far above the average of any Third Division team and would probably have held their own with many teams, in the Second Division. The Chinese Police were most unfortunate în being held to a draw of 1-1 by their European colleagues, as this result played a large part in ruining their chances of a divisional championship..
St. Joseph's again entered a team. In this division, and, although they did not fare as well as many of the other teams, they achieved their object in giving many of their novices valu- able League experience. The Railway pluckily carried on in

The European Police have]: one of the best sides in the Third Division when they can field their best players at the same time, but they have been seriously handicapped by the fact that half of their leading] players were not able to tura lout when wanted. However, there have been several “finds" made which must have been very gratifying to the First Division team, who are really hard up for reserves.
