"Miss Pacific Fleet" Joan Blondell and Glenda Far- Irell again cast as two cute and lovely "gold-diggers." This is just another of their boisterous farces about chorus girls out for a good time. This time there is a beauty contest, a kidnapping, a. fight and a motor-boat chase. all of which [provide a succession of bread

comedy incidents.

There are the usual wisecracks and Hugh Herbert winning laughs, by his semi-alcoholic pomposity and general inanity. Allen Jen kins as the "dumb" sailor, Warren] Hull (singing some specially-com-- posed songs charmingly). Marie Wilson. Grinn Williams. Eddie Acut. Minna Gombell and others, by their clever and enthusiastic) team-work, put over this nonsense slickly and uproariously.

The performances from the two stars are as full of vitality av ever, making one forget the exag- gerations. Roy Enwright makes the most of the bright dialogue) and keeps the film going at the fastest pace with the machine-i gun-like precision expected from la Warner Brothers release. Well up to standard, if you like this type of picture (Queen's).

The Majestic
